Active Support

Active Support teaches direct support workers how to provide effective support that improves participation, choice and quality of life. People with a disability have a right to live the type of life we all enjoy. It is important for all of us to:

  • Have good relationships with friends and family
  • Have relationships that last
  • Have opportunities to develop experience and develop new skills
  • Have choice and control over their life
  • Be afforded status and respect
  • Be treated as an individual
